A very blah day. I am not feeling so good today and can’t seem to shake it. So I have been lying down off and on instead of doing the one million things I need to be doing. I am so super tired, I can feel it, but can’t nap so its been a rough day so far 😦
Since I am not feeling so good I have been taking it easy today with my 365 – having to do it at random times and not all at once. On days like this I start to dislike this challenge sadly and so wish I didn’t have to do it. But then I know I have to go as far as I can and I also know that keeping a little active every day is also good for me and the pregnancy, as long as I don’t over-do it, I know I know.
I actually thought that the planks and push-ups would get easier considering I have been doing them for 83 days! But then it hit me – D’UH!! – I am carrying extra weight and that keeps increasing so its like I am my very own personal resistance machine!! No need to increase the weight dial like at the gym, as it will be happening on its own! It’s like I am that spinning resistance dial on the front of the bike that you have to dial up when they yell at you to do so, but I guess I am gradually going up anyway – there’s no going back down!
Or this is my excuse at least, and I am sticking to it!! 🙂
I have modified my sit-ups a little already to be more side-oriented and not full on front or intense, as they say that your stomach muscles relax anyway for the stretch of the baby so then what is the point of doing any sit-ups other than I HAVE to for the 365 challenge! So, I have made them about the sides instead. I will have to probably go onto all fours later on and do the cat thing as my sit-ups or something as I will not be able to continue the fatter I get!
Ah….the fatter I get!!!!! Oy-vey!
Also, I read that lying on your back for long periods of time is not good for your blood pressure or the blood pressure and oxygen getting to the baby, and it makes me nauseous. But that’s why I have not been allowed to sleep on my back, and for me that has been dire as I do sleep on my back, so this is tough and not helping my already lack of sleep.
I haven’t modified the rest yet, but I know I will have to as I go along – trying to hold out as long as I can. I have noticed that the one criteria that is not getting enough attention or has decreased is my vigor and dedication to the stretching 365 criteria. I have marked it off as not that important when I have to get things done in the day to satisfy the 365, so its been minimal, and it shouldn’t be. Especially as that is why I am not really allowed to be running or jogging or anything as it hurts my knee and some stretching exercises were supposed to alleviate it, or help, if I followed them daily and exactly. Ugh. My stretching has not been that good lately. I will need to try to find some strength to make it mentally important again and soon.
Day 82: March 30th, 2012 = COMPLETE!!!!!

Super tired today but as usual could not sleep. And annoyingly, could not sleep in when I could have today!!!!
I didn’t finish moving and unpacking the office until 1am this morning!! There was drama all day with the movers and the building that only got worse as the hours went by and the 10pm apparent deadline approached for the movers to be done. They had to move out the whole office suite furniture for the others in the day and then it was supposed to take from 6pm-8pm to move us all up to the 18th floor with the furniture and boxes and items remaining BUT it was not that simple! The building wouldn’t allow the movers to use the freight elevator more than three times during the day otherwise they charge something like $180 an hour!!!!! CRAZY!!!! So, there was a delay in getting the mass amount of the building that accumulated until 6pm.
Once 6pm struck they were allowed to use the elevator again apparently as many times as we liked BUT the building said only to go up with the items!! So they battled it out and agreed to get the remaining bulk downstairs as they needed to apparently be out now by 10pm and the trucks needed to be loaded too. So half the men went down to load the trucks and then only a couple were left to move us all up to our new offices!
AND then it was something like 9.15pm and nothing from my office had even moved yet because they were doing it in order from the door and sadly our office is the furthest away, so we were last 😦
Well, why this drama was going on and the delays were growing, we all decided to carry up some small things ourselves, which I know, was not the thing I was supposed to be doing, but I couldn’t sit around. So I carried up small things and then ran out of those, so discovered that things on my shoulder were better so filled the large Ikea bag and carried up some things….and they were a little heavy, and I know I know I wasn’t supposed to be doing that when pregnant. I was smart though in my defence as I had to resist the urge to just take the crazy heavy things up, but I didn’t!!
It was funny though as I realized that I could not carry things in front of me with the BUMP! I realized that when I carry things I rest them on my belly or on my hip to make it easier, which could not happen, so had to rely on arm strength and my lack there of made it sooooo hard!!
The bump was in my way!!
But, it was a constant reminder to take it easy, so I guess that was good 🙂
Anyway, it was a long day and a late night, so was able to sleep in….and guess what…I could not! My body and back have been achy these past few days so needed to rest but ugh, sleep is rough these days. Somehow I need to fix this 😦

Bye Bye 17th floor and Hello 18th floor!! (well, haven’t finished yet but it’s started!)
One moving company came and took the items going up to my boss’s apartment so the desks were just taken away! Had the laptop on my lap (hence the name haha!!) for a little while and then decided to create my own makeshift desk and side table and placement for the office phone with the piled boxes! This inspired my video upload of the day so you can take a look at my little created workspace 🙂
It’s funny though as the best way to be at the computer on top of these boxes is to straddle them, so feeling like a little hoe here while all the moving men are around!!
Just heard the tech guy come by and say are we ready to close down the internet….so I panicked and crammed in all my 365 and typing like a mad woman right now to get this all in before the internet is gone!
Aren’t we all, really? Strange what happens to you when the freedom of the internet is taken away from you, or even threatened to be taken away!! NOOOOOOOOOOO!! Thank heavens for my blackberry on the go 🙂
So, with all the moving men around had to be discreet with all my 365 but made it work!!

Day 80: March 28th, 2012 = COMPLETE!!!!!

Other than it was PACKING day at the office.
From 9am until after 6.30pm of straight packing…SOLO. 😦 I would have been there even longer but we ran out of boxes and bags!!
I am soooooooooooooo tired and spent and exhausted and sadly achy. I was on my feet all day long making boxes, packing boxes, moving things from one room to another, getting files out, labeling the boxes with a horrible and pungent smelling marker…
Did I mention it was office PACKING day??!!
Did I mention it was me packing SOLO??!!
It had to be done as tomorrow the movers come to take all our things up from the 17th floor to the 18th floor, and then some things to storage, and some things to my boss’s apartment too.
We will no longer be Suite 1710 folk! On to a whole new level up….ooooooh 18…..oooooooh!
Naturally it inspired the 365 today, or more like dictated how I felt which in turn dictated my 365.
Well the moving and packing and whole long day on my feet took care of my cardio, more than took care of my cardio requirement! I hope I can walk tomorrow as I am already feeling it in my back and feet and legs and I am sitting down!
The exhaustion and packing naturally inspired my video upload where I sang to the tune of “Someone Like You” by Adele as I walked away from the office!
And then it inspired me to choose the song “It’s A Fine Day” for my dance since I thought it was funny and ironic after the day I had! All that packing made me very slow and a little retardo in my dancing since my feet hurt so much!
Why I chose boots to wear today is beyond me – they are my most comfortable boots I own but there is a slight heel so am feeling it now being on my feet on them all day. We had to interview a potential candidate to fill my position at work while I am gone down the line so I felt like I shouldn’t slum it completely today and look like a Boo-Ya. Paying for it now though 😦

Day 79: March 27th, 2012 = COMPLETE!!!!!

Today was a walking overload!
It wasn’t supposed to be actually but it turned out to be. Oy-Vey!

I had three appointments all over and the first I treated as my main cardio for the day. Then it made sense to walk from Columbus Circle back to the office again as there really is no good way to get there that’s faster than walking annoyingly, unless you take a cab of course, but I wasn’t going to do that. So added that to my cardio to make it super full. And then realized I had to go see this apartment to make sure all was in order from the last tenant leaving for the new tenant coming in two days, and there is no way but to walk to the pier from the subway and back out there.
Exhausted! My feet and back hurt 😦
On my feet way too much with all the walking, stairs, subway, office packing, and the excess of tunnels today going into Brooklyn and into Queens. Boo!
I also left my apartment in a hurry this morning and mis-judged how cold it was outside! So since I was walking everywhere I froze and I had to jump into a cheap store and buy another layer! Yup, that’s when the shop Strawberry comes in handy 🙂
I ended up buying a longish blue light jacket! In a size XL! Yup, it was my first pregnancy-in-mind purchase!!! I got the XL for room for growth!
That freaked me out a little bit, not going to lie!
A funny thing happened though on the L train going into Brooklyn. It was packed, the kind where your head is on someone’s shoulder, you are under an arm pit, and your bag is in front of you as there is no other place for it. Well, I was also against this guy and when I stood on my tip-toes for the tunnel, my bum was exactly smooshed against his bum! Which was hilarious as I could feel it in line exactly!!! As soon as the train doors opened I flew out to avoid any confrontation with the bum man 🙂

Had to get in all my 365 early today as had my Green Card interview in the afternoon and who knew how long that would take…a while it turned out, so good I got things done!
I did my dance in my kitchen this morning to not wake Stuart up as he was still sleeping. The song I picked was funny as it went through a mix of 80’s and 90’s classic dance songs as a remix. I wasn’t expecting that at all! Not sure where that song came from really and how that got on my ipod! But I do have a load of random songs that I downloaded in the last period of free Napster in like a crazy frenzy! So I put a lot of songs that pop up that make me go “Hmmmm” to that era back in College! 🙂
Ah the days of free Napster!
Today being the Green Card interview day of course also inspired my video upload – where I tested myself on random questions that came up from these weird Conversation Cards we own (these were a contribution to our games by Stuart….weird card game Stuart!) I guess Stuart will have to watch my video upload to see how well I did, but I do remember saying Tottenham Hotspurs a lot as my answers 🙂
How can you go wrong in saying Stuart’s favourite football team??!!
And since the Green Card schedule and interview seemed to have inspired the rest of my 365 then it also seemed appropriate that it inspired my cardio…walking back from the interview to home, in the freezing wind might I add!!! Crazy cold out! Was not dressed appropriately for that. And was in my boots so the walking was slower than it would normally be.
And I was super hungry and feeling woozy as they took away my snacks once we entered the Homeland Security building 😦 And then had to wait couple of hours fighting the nausea. 😦
So folks, cross your fingers for me that there were no problems and I get my Green Card in the mail and soon!
Day 77: March 25th, 2012 = COMPLETE!!!!!

Anything to Note =
I have soooooo many things to do today and not motivated to do any of it – having hard time sleeping so am sooooo tired too. But I needed to do script work and then go through all my greencard material for tomorrow’s interview before my meetings later on, so I forced myself to do all my 365 early and also be at home to maybe encourage the work I had to do??!!
It’s hard to think of things to do around the house, especially as the cardio part – I mean, there a millions things I could do but I wanted to do something new and different today.
I found an old jump rope but there is just no space for it in the apartment without smashing things around me!
I would have jogged in place to the TV but I jogged yesterday and didn’t want to do more bouncing up and down two days in a row.
Thinking. Thinking. Thinking…
And then it hit me, I have weights I saw the other day near our games, so I invented a 20 minute workout in which I wanted to work out my legs and arms at the same time – of course I do! Since I’m extreme crazy inpatient girl 🙂
So set my ipod timer for 2o minutes, put on TBS on TV, which was playing the film Spanglish, and started to do reps of things like squats and twists and arm thingies – thingie being of course a technical gym term 🙂
It definitely wore me out!
“Get In Shape With The Zoe-Ster!” = will be my DVD workout haha!
I shuffled to a song for my dance of the day and a funny thing happened! First of all a classic song came on that brought me back to my college days with my friends! Such a great song – and there is a part in it like every 3 or 4 measures where it is perfect for clapping, so we would do that throughout the song, and I just could not help myself to do the clapping while I was dancing today, but…
We have one of these in the house…
A Star Trek Tribble…
Stuart gave me one for my birthday, and loud noises make it go off (used it one of my 365 video uploads if you want to see what it does when noise sets it off). But every time I clapped in my dance to the song, the tribble went off!!! At first I had no idea what that noise was and then I figured it out! It was so funny! It was going crazy behind me!! Wish I could have captured that on video but couldn’t stop!!
Ah the mini joys of home!
