Anything to Note =
Today was supposed to be a simple day.
Do some work in the morning, go to Costco with my friend Paloma, go to dinner with some other friends.
Instead TRAFFIC HELL screwed it all up!
I had a plan too. My cardio was going to be me jogging to the garage to get the car to go to Costco, but then ended up doing way more walking and way more friggin’ leg work in the friggin’ car while stuck in major friggin’ traffic!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can we tell I am annoyed haha!
It took me two hours to drive from Costco in Astoria to Paloma’s apartment in Harlem and back!! RIDICULOUS!! She had bought some heavier items and thought it would be no problem to drop her off so she didn’t have to carry anything and it should have been no problem, especially as its Saturday. So we decided to save on the stupid high price of the toll over to Harlem and take the free bridge, which sadly we got super stuck on!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then I finally got her home but thought it looked better on the way back so thought I have a little time why not take the same free bridge back….but did not think about the construction down Second Avenue for the new subway, and yup, I got stuck again!!!!!!!
My leg was killing me by the end since I have a stick shift car!! ARGH!!!
And then sadly, I started to get super nauseous while stuck in traffic 😦 I hadn’t planned on it taking so long so had no lunch and ugh, the constant braking and starting of the car was jerking me back and forth and seriously not helping how sick I felt.
Then I needed to pee!
AND…it had turned cold out and since I was now late to dinner with friends and the restaurant they picked was further away I had to go straight there and was not wearing enough!
It was supposed to be an easy relaxing day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sidenote: the women at Costco today were crazy!! I watched two instances of women grabbing over people’s heads to get all the free samples before anyone else. Sooooo rude!!!
Day 33: February 10th, 2012 = COMPLETE!!!!!
Cardio was = Barefoot Side Jogging in Place for 15 Mins

Anything to Note =
33 looks like two bums!! Doesn’t it?? Flip your head and look at it! Or two sets of boobs! I know, I know, I am like 5 years old, but I typed in Day 33 and it made me laugh! Bums were my first image though…what does that say about me? Hmmmmm…
A couple of things I did for 365 I wish I could have done differently today:
1). Tip-toes on a crowded train in boots = soooo not funny! It was super smooshed on the 7 train – something was wrong as the amount of people was outrageous. Anyway, I get pushed in and barely holding on when I realize I had to go on tip-toes. So hard! When it’s so super crowded like that I could not re-adjust with the weight and so my legs were dying!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, had a couple behind me who would not stop talking about how horrible being crowded was and they needed to get off to get a cab, and its only cabs from now on, and this is a good time for pickpocketing, and they were so glad that the level of BO around them wasn’t so so bad…..SHUT UP! Some of us are trying to focus on our tip-toes around here! I was going to walk to the other station as my cardio and I didn’t….mistake!!
2). Barefoot “Side Jogging” in Place = WTF???? I don’t even know why or how I came up with that! I came home and knew I had to do something as my cardio but no idea how it came to this! I went into my room as our subletter was home and turned the TV on and then decided to re-create a Wii fit exercise where you jog in place to the circuit on TV, but instead I would do it to some TV show that was on. Set my phone timer for 15 mins and boom…off we go! It was more than 5 mins in when I realized I was doing some sort of “side jogging” to avoid just bouncing up and down – and by “side jogging” I guess I was swinging my legs out side to side in place…not sure what to call it but “side jogging” feels accurate 🙂 I think it was to prevent movement forward too as my pile of clothes on the bedroom floor limited my cardio area! And I had to be just there to see the TV haha! Then it was another few minutes before I realized that my calves were really hurting…and oh wait…I was barefoot and had no trainers on! And as a result I was on my tip-toes due to no support! Great! And had a long way to go still! So what did I do….stuck it out to the end, and now am in pain! Why oh why?
3). Shuffled Song After Cardio = great techno oldie song came on again but it was right after my major calves workout from my disastrous cardio so was not able to really dance. Instead ended up doing a lot of pelvic thrusts (as the song does indeed call for that since the chorus does say “Would you…ummm….would you go to bed with me?” !!) But even the thrusts hurt! And then ended up relying on mostly arm movements that turned into 60’s swimming dance moves?? Again, WTF?? I should have waited to do the dance later but wanted to get all my 365 done!
Day 30: February 7th, 2012: COMPLETE!!!!!

Anything to Note =
I don’t feel these days that rehearsals are enough physically to count as cardio – we are working through things so I just don’t feel like its enough to count as raising my heartbeat. As we are approaching our opening of our show we are working through things and realize that it doesn’t make sense for my character to be a part of all the dance choreography sections that I learned so I will see when we get to run the whole show how much of a workout it will end up being. Although we added a little bit of athleticism for me today to raise me up….sound intriguing?? Get ready for Loom Ensemble’s “Erosion: A Fable” that opens at LaMama February 17th!!
So thus lightly jogging home from a few subway stops earlier than when I would get off was my cardio tonight. Although, I wanted to take it lightly but I had to fight the urge to just full-out speed run home! The backpack I had on helped to keep me slow as I shouldn’t be speed running after 11pm!! I got myself all ready on the subway – ipod arm pouch on, ipod in, sweater off, backpack tight, music on….GOOOOO!! People always find it funny to see someone jogging with a backpack on or not in full workout clothes 🙂
I was excited tonight as on shuffle came a wonderful Greek song, and I realized that I hadn’t danced to any Greek songs yet which is outrageous! This is a great song as it’s a traditional or close to traditional Greek belly dancing song – or perfect for it. I forgot how much of a workout Greek female belly dancing is! Having to keep my arms up for basically the whole song really works the arm muscles!! And my legs were feeling it so either it was me not used to the slow long movements or I danced too close after jogging home! Either way, I was happy to have some Greek music! Must have more of that!
Ahhhhh. Now, I miss Greece, Spetses Island, home. Boo 😦
My improvised video upload was fun tonight too – I did another one of my favourite characters who speaks a made-up language….or does she??!! It is sooo much fun to speak your mind in something so free. I think my gibberish language is pretty good actually, if I do say so myself haha! Take a peek at my ZoeTheActor wordpress blog!

Anything to Note =
I did some fitness items while waiting for the renovation company and contractors to come to a client’s apartment to take measurements this morning. I was hoping to get a bunch in but they arrived and cut it short – but it is nice to do these criteria in different places and in different ways. Although I am glad they rang the doorbell as they would have caught me in some odd shapes on the floor if they had just walked in!
I had a bad headache today, all day. It was just a dull pain and so it made me not want to do anything intense or that had any pressure – I was dreading the planks and push-ups as the pressure goes to my head. I took them slowly and broke them up through the whole day in order to avoid it at once, which was nice.
I did my video upload on the subway platform – tried to talk close to my ipod to be heard but also so that others around me didn’t think I was completely insane….although…I am! And NYC is full of crazies – which is why it’s a perfect place to run lines to memorize out loud to yourself as no one thinks anything of it!
Dancing in the disabled toilet again today! AHH! I knew this would probably happen often if I was to get some criteria done while at work. My body is so sore today from having days of residency training…I need a break. My back really hurts actually – I tend to always do something that feels like I’ve trapped something and it won’t release….so I have that now on the left side of my back and I need some recovery time but have rehearsal again tomorrow for a big chunk. Neverending 😦
I hadn’t done any cardio due to my back so decided to jog from the subway to my boss’s apartment, which isn’t far, but I figured it would count to get my heart pumping a bit. Annoyingly though I had to carry a bag in each hand. And had no sports bra on! DISASTER!! Boobs galore! And, then the wind decided to grow out of nowhere – was ridiculous how slow and how much harder it made the run. I must have looked hilarious running, boobs flailing, bags in hand, and super super slow against the wind!
