Rough night again.
Have my follow-up doctor’s appointment next week so will bring it up then, and also try some sort of pillow that has been recommended to me for sleeping while pregnant because something needs to change.
I was sooooooo not awake this morning, or now, or never. What’s funny is that I don’t remember the last time I was awake. I know that sounds weird but it’s true. Well, I do remember one time, and that may be the last time honestly, and that was back in College, so a super long time ago. But there was one moment on one night of many that I was doing an all-nighter and I remember looking over to the right at the door and suddenly the whole world was crystal clear! And I remember thinking to myself, “so this is what it is like to feel truly awake”.
I know it sounds funny! But seriously, that was the only time that has ever happened and then I snapped out of it a little bit after and I have never felt that awake ever again! I am always in a little bit of a daze. You know, those commercials they advertize on TV about people with allergies and the screen is all fuzzy until they advertize what the allergy relief pill can do like Claritin and they peel back the screen so its clear and in focus – that is exactly how I am and feel! I live with that film across that makes it all fuzzy and hazy around. For those who don’t know these commercials, here is one…
I have always been a bad sleeper and wake up every hour so never or rarely go into REM sleep so I’m sure that has to take a toll on someone and makes it all fuzzy. I have just learned to live with it and live off adrenalin as I seem to be able to function. I know there are points when my body dies to try to catch up but you can never catch up on all the lost sleep sadly.
Well, nowadays unfortunately it is even worse than waking up every hour and it seems to be happening every night so frequently and I am more tired than I normally am. I can cope with my same ol’ same ol’ routine of bad sleep but this is a little extra so it’s wearing on me for sure!
I thought maybe some 365 in the morning may wake me up but I kept getting calls that I needed to answer so it had to wait until after first thing. I should try that though although last thing I want to do when I am so tired is something so active like that first thing in the morning…..I hear a challenge beckoning!!
It was funny though as no one seemed to also be awake on the train to work this morning. Literally no one! Not one person was speaking or spoke the whole ride, even those who were travelling with people! Half of the people were asleep or had their eyes shut, the other were dozing – doing the nod thing! That helped me pass the time in the tunnel this morning – watching people do the nodding off thing and then bouncing back up! It’s hilarious! It’s also hilarious how people react after they bounce back up – they look around to see if anyone saw them! Haha! And what was even funnier was there were about five or six people doing it at once this morning!
It was good people watching this morning!
I was glad that everyone around me seemed to feel like I did! TIRED!!
Day 77: March 25th, 2012 = COMPLETE!!!!!

I have soooooo many things to do today and not motivated to do any of it – having hard time sleeping so am sooooo tired too. But I needed to do script work and then go through all my greencard material for tomorrow’s interview before my meetings later on, so I forced myself to do all my 365 early and also be at home to maybe encourage the work I had to do??!!
It’s hard to think of things to do around the house, especially as the cardio part – I mean, there a millions things I could do but I wanted to do something new and different today.
I found an old jump rope but there is just no space for it in the apartment without smashing things around me!
I would have jogged in place to the TV but I jogged yesterday and didn’t want to do more bouncing up and down two days in a row.
Thinking. Thinking. Thinking…
And then it hit me, I have weights I saw the other day near our games, so I invented a 20 minute workout in which I wanted to work out my legs and arms at the same time – of course I do! Since I’m extreme crazy inpatient girl 🙂
So set my ipod timer for 2o minutes, put on TBS on TV, which was playing the film Spanglish, and started to do reps of things like squats and twists and arm thingies – thingie being of course a technical gym term 🙂
It definitely wore me out!
“Get In Shape With The Zoe-Ster!” = will be my DVD workout haha!
I shuffled to a song for my dance of the day and a funny thing happened! First of all a classic song came on that brought me back to my college days with my friends! Such a great song – and there is a part in it like every 3 or 4 measures where it is perfect for clapping, so we would do that throughout the song, and I just could not help myself to do the clapping while I was dancing today, but…
We have one of these in the house…
A Star Trek Tribble…
Stuart gave me one for my birthday, and loud noises make it go off (used it one of my 365 video uploads if you want to see what it does when noise sets it off). But every time I clapped in my dance to the song, the tribble went off!!! At first I had no idea what that noise was and then I figured it out! It was so funny! It was going crazy behind me!! Wish I could have captured that on video but couldn’t stop!!

I still had the hotel room in the morning as had to spend another night due to the late ending of the filmshoot last night, and stayed to also see my immigration attorney and my friend Michelle before driving back, so I wanted to get some 365 in before I left. Again, I tried to get up early to perhaps use the hotel gym…but got back so late and planned ahead thinking I could walk or jog back from when I parked the car in NYC to home. So I got in the rest of my 365…
…AFTER my free hotel breakfast of course!!
Although it was a little sad this morning as Stuart had left so was alone in the dining room stuffing my face with as much of the-part-of-the-hotel-rate food 🙂 And the stupid news was on the TV that I could not change.
And just as I was thinking about how lonely it would be to be on the road going from airport hotel to hotel for conferences and such, a massive group of men came in to get their breakfast before it was over. It was fascinating to watch! It was like high school! Some sat by themselves eating, others sat together, some on the phones to their loves saying when they would be home again, the pranksters with the maple syrup, the loud ones making sure they are heard to be the center of attention, the jocks throwing the cereal boxes to each other….
I have to say though that I do LOVE hotels… LOVE LOVE LOVE them! I would live in a hotel if I could – how cool would that be? A nice luxurious one though would be nice, like an apartment on the beach 🙂
Day 49: February 26th, 2012 = COMPLETE!!!!!

I had an idea today to do some sort of toothpaste or mouthwash commercial something this morning as my video upload but a number of things went wrong!! OF COURSE!!
First, I found some mouthwash, old mouthwash in the bathroom and decided to use it, turned on the ipod and just as I was opening the lid I noticed a bunch of hairs stuck to the top…GROSS! But, the video was on so had to keep going!
Then I looked over at the video and saw that where I had placed the ipod meant that I had to bend down to be in the shot, so had to squat against the sink cabinet the whole time!! Muscles were burning!
Then not enough would come out when I took a swig of the mouthwash – it has some weird contraption on it that’s supposed to give you I guess the exact amount, but it was like a dribble, so I had to go with it and found it super hard to do any swishing or gargling!!
And stupid me had placed the ipod in a position where I couldn’t turn it off without having to lift it up to get to the off button!! That was annoying!
AND…then watched the video and saw that in my impromptu mouthwash dance my boobs were a-flying since I had no bra on! GREAT!
Oh well! So much for a seamless video 🙂

Side note: it’s amazing how inspired you can feel when the dance of the day is done in proper workout gear and not just average clothes – also…it helps to have the sportsman of the year playing on the TV too. HAHA 🙂

Jam packed today again – yet another day of two shows so had to take care of the 365 early on. Yesterday I didn’t get home until around 2am so it was a good thing I had done the blog and all. That is the last thing I want to do when I come home that late, that’s for sure!
You know what helps you do the 365 fitness, doing it in front of the TV while watching an infomercial about getting fit! And ironically, this morning the infomercial was Jillian Michaels and her new 90 day DVD set 🙂 Normally I get the Insanity infomercials on a Saturday morning – which I have seen so many times!! And yet funnily enough, I seem to watch a lot each time before switching channels…I have to admit I like the before and after pictures…although it makes you wonder with the technology these days, what stops them from having overweight people and simulating what they would look like thinner and toned with Photoshop? Or the other way around – having a super athletic person and then transforming what they would look like if they were fatter and out of shape with a little Photoshop….
Right after I watched way too much of the Jillian Michaels show, guess what was on the next channel…another fitness infomercial, but one I had never seen before…something to do with a Brazilian personal trainer making promises to lift your butt! That’s right…the women testimonials and pictures were all about how this program had changed their butts! NO JOKE! The before and after photos focused on the butts of these women transforming with this fitness and dance regime over a few months…it was hilariously graphic!!! The butts did look better and lifted! That was a new one for me on a Saturday morning 🙂
Interestingly on these photos, just after I had thought about the photoshopping possibility and the authenticity of the before and after shots, this Brazilian butt lift show had photos too and at the bottom it said “these have not been photoshopped” or something like that! And boy did these photos look R.E.A.L!!! The real-ist before and after shots I have ever seen…stretch marks, fat dimples…it was, on one hand a relief that finally a show is baring it all, but on the other hand now seriously made me wonder how much photoshopping is being done on all the other fitness infomercials out there!
I found it, the Brazil Butt Lift brief infomercial on YouTube, but sadly this is like a minute version so the good real before and after footage is not there, but here is a little bit of what was on TV…its like butt porn!!!!!!!! BOOTY PORN!!!
Day 33: February 10th, 2012 = COMPLETE!!!!!

33 looks like two bums!! Doesn’t it?? Flip your head and look at it! Or two sets of boobs! I know, I know, I am like 5 years old, but I typed in Day 33 and it made me laugh! Bums were my first image though…what does that say about me? Hmmmmm…
A couple of things I did for 365 I wish I could have done differently today:
1). Tip-toes on a crowded train in boots = soooo not funny! It was super smooshed on the 7 train – something was wrong as the amount of people was outrageous. Anyway, I get pushed in and barely holding on when I realize I had to go on tip-toes. So hard! When it’s so super crowded like that I could not re-adjust with the weight and so my legs were dying!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, had a couple behind me who would not stop talking about how horrible being crowded was and they needed to get off to get a cab, and its only cabs from now on, and this is a good time for pickpocketing, and they were so glad that the level of BO around them wasn’t so so bad…..SHUT UP! Some of us are trying to focus on our tip-toes around here! I was going to walk to the other station as my cardio and I didn’t….mistake!!
2). Barefoot “Side Jogging” in Place = WTF???? I don’t even know why or how I came up with that! I came home and knew I had to do something as my cardio but no idea how it came to this! I went into my room as our subletter was home and turned the TV on and then decided to re-create a Wii fit exercise where you jog in place to the circuit on TV, but instead I would do it to some TV show that was on. Set my phone timer for 15 mins and boom…off we go! It was more than 5 mins in when I realized I was doing some sort of “side jogging” to avoid just bouncing up and down – and by “side jogging” I guess I was swinging my legs out side to side in place…not sure what to call it but “side jogging” feels accurate 🙂 I think it was to prevent movement forward too as my pile of clothes on the bedroom floor limited my cardio area! And I had to be just there to see the TV haha! Then it was another few minutes before I realized that my calves were really hurting…and oh wait…I was barefoot and had no trainers on! And as a result I was on my tip-toes due to no support! Great! And had a long way to go still! So what did I do….stuck it out to the end, and now am in pain! Why oh why?
3). Shuffled Song After Cardio = great techno oldie song came on again but it was right after my major calves workout from my disastrous cardio so was not able to really dance. Instead ended up doing a lot of pelvic thrusts (as the song does indeed call for that since the chorus does say “Would you…ummm….would you go to bed with me?” !!) But even the thrusts hurt! And then ended up relying on mostly arm movements that turned into 60’s swimming dance moves?? Again, WTF?? I should have waited to do the dance later but wanted to get all my 365 done!
